I always wanted to put photos and some info here about the quilt I made for my parents a year ago for their 50th Wedding Anniversary. Today they are celebrating 51 years already. So it’s a great reason to remember my quilt and finally blog about it.
To be married for 50 years is a great achievement. 51 years are even better! I hope my parents stay healthy for much longer and live together for many more years <3
Here are some photos of the quilt and its making.
I chose Amy Butler’s beautiful fabric from her Gypsy Caravan collection. Also I had this triangle ruler that I wanted to finally use for something. After considering many different quilt designs I chose Equilateral Triangles.
It was my first (and so far the only) Equilateral Triangle Quilt.
It was really easy putting it together. So I might make another one one day.
Finished quilt top is below, and me as a friendly colourful ghost. I had to do it hah!
I chose a bright solid backing for it, it looks like a juicy apple. It was a bed sheet that I got from Wilko store 🙂

Here are a few photos of the finished quilt for my parents. They love it!!!

This is my parents’ bedroom and the quilt looks very nice in here 🙂
We had an extended family celebration last year and a short Show & Tell
Once again I wish my parents more happy years together. Happy 51st Wedding Anniversary for today and happy 50th for a year ago <3
