Last week I was looking after the @52quilters Instagram Account. It was my 2nd time, first time I was doing it was in August 2017.
2018 is a bit different. Each month has its topic. This September is dedicated to FPP and I am one of 4 quilters this month who are covering everything we make and know about FPP 🙂
It was a truly fun week and I posted probably my all FPP makes ever!
As I finally started designing my own patterns, I thought it would be great to make one for the occasion.
I had this Rubber Ducky pattern idea in my head for a few months and it was a perfect timing to finally bring it to life.
I designed the ducky using the EQ8 software and I think it came out pretty damn well!
Check photos below for yourself:
I made a 10 inch block with two facing options left and right. Thus you can make 2, 4 ,6, 8 inch and so on duckies looking at each other.
I also played with a potential quilt layout in EQ8. I might make the quilt below measuring 40×50 inches or bigger at some point. We’ll see how it goes. It will look very nice and cheerful with many different coloured rubber duckies
If you like this ducky block you are very welcome to purchase it from my Craftsy 🙂
Thanks for reading.
