Hi everyone!
I haven’t posted anything here for about 2 weeks which I believe is a long time for a blog… or maybe not? I guess it depends.
Anyway today I went to the opening day of the new Village Haberdashery shop on West Hampstead Square in London.
I’ve been to the previous shop which is rather nice but the new building is simply wonderful! It is very spacious and bright with a lovely workshop room with big windows and lots of sun on a sunny day. It is on the first floor right next to West Hampstead overground station which makes it very convenient to get there compared to the old location.
I assume no one likes reading lots of text on blogs so here are some pics that will tell you more about awesomeness of the shop than words.
It is still a building site on the square and The Village Haberdashery is the first place that is open in the new building on the West Hampstead Square.
This is an entrance on the ground floor, then you can go up the stair or take a lift.
This is an entrance to the actual shop on the first floor.
Here are few pics of the shop’s interior:
Behind the wall on the right is a spacious and light sewing studio/workshop space. I didn’t take any pics of the space because there was a macrame workshop at that moment there and I didn’t want to distract people with photo taking 🙂 But trust me that space is great!
This is my favourite part of the shop – the wall of modern fabrics! <3
Wonderful, isn’t it?
I spent there probably about 40 mins, purchased a few fat quarters, mostly kona cotton – had to restrict myself as I am trying to be on a fabric buying diet not always successfully.
This is on the way out (or on the way in – depends on your perspective).
And these are stairs down with a pic of a cute doggie
Bonus doggie pic
This weekend is the soft launch of the shop and the proper opening with goodie bags etc. is on the weekend of 4th and 5th March.
I will come back then and recommend you to visit this beautiful new place too.
Thanks for reading.
Best,
Irina x
